Hello dahlings. The weather outside is frightful but don't let it ban you from your cute dresses and skirts. Apparently opaque tights are a must have the Fall/Winter season according to the style setters. To me tights are a wardrobe staple. I always pull out my black tights when the weather gets a little chilly.
I pair them with skirts and dresses that I wore throughout spring and summer to add some variety to my wardrobe. They are so practical and add instant chic and they blend so well with so many outfits! Well this Fall there are so many options to choose from. It's a crazy world of tights out there! I have short legs, so I tend to stick to simple black to make my legs look their longest.
But I recently brought and actually wore a pair of subtly patterned tights to add some visual interest. I don't think bright colors are for me since I am vertically challenged. But if you have been blessed with thin, slender and long legs, you can rock any color you want. Try gray for instance. One of my office mates was rocking a pair today with a gray dress, which she paired with some burgundy stacked heels. Cute. A monochromatic look with a little punch at the end. So what should you wear with opaque tights? Your options are endless; pair them with high thigh boots, glam booties, platform sandals and lace-up boots, all of the latest shoe trends of the season. And of course, they can be worn with short pants, skirts, maxi sweaters and mini dresses.
How To Wear Opaque Tights
Here are a few tips to get you started rocking this trend.
Try a sweater dress over black opaque tights with cute ankle boots for effortless style.
Use bright colors sparingly. Remember that if you rock brightly colored opaque tights, keep the rest of your outfit simple and let your legs be the focus.
Try them with a party dress. Glam up your going-out look and stay warm while you walk to the bars or parties! Pair a sparkly dress with opaque tights, hot accessories and peep toe heels!
Try matching your shoes. Wear your tights with flats or heels in the same color for a look that makes your legs look a mile long!
When purchasing look for Opaque, not semi opaque! There IS a difference. Opaque is hot this season, while semiopaque tights just look dated and are also much less slimming for your legs.
